Check List

THREE more days to go.

We finally have everything for the trip next week ironed out. I just booked our overnight stay for the 12th and 25th in Cebu yesterday, Dulcinea Suites. We chose this hotel for it's 5-10 minute taxi ride from the airport, which is good since we plan to get there by 6am. We also got the remaining Yen we had exchanged last night (thanks to Tatay), though we did skip on getting my loaner lens from Kat for a good reason. We'll try again tonight.

A check list is running in my mind every now and then. Making sure we're not forgetting anything for the trip.

We will be bringing 2 luggages and a box (for Max), besides our camera bags to Japan. The box contains Max's order of gadgets (with english firmwares), shampoo for his kids and a number of PILIPINAS baller I.D.s for his English Club.

My camera bag itself weights at around 8kg. I just hope it wouldn't keep me from enjoying the trip. I wanted to bring all of my gear but that would mean bringing two heavy bags with me and i probably won't last a day walking with my gear. I decided on bringing just 3 lenses. Thanks Rhon for loaning me the Epson P-5000, a big help especially since we won't be bringing a laptop.

My main concern is the forecasted weather in Tokyo and Kyoto this weekend. Rain. We didn't even plan to bring any rain gear. I just pray that Tokyo's going to have good weather when we get there. X-fingers!

The past week i was busy stuffing my face in front of my computer, reading this photo blog of Japan by Danny Choo. Very informative and for me, a must read for those planning a trip to Japan. I especially liked his article on Edo Wonderland in Hokkaido, too bad it's not included in our route the next 2 weeks.

This may be my last entry before we leave for Cebu on the 12th. I will try to update this blog as much as possible with the iPhone, i'm just hoping for a lot of WIFI places we can stay in so we can get updated in FB or whatever. :)

Bon Voyage to both of us!
