Weather Forecast

T'was rainy in Asakusa last night. Though it didn't stop us from walking around the streets surrounding the hotel.

Guys in suits, using their ever trustworthy camera phone.

D at the end of Nakamise road. You would see a huge red lantern at the front and back gates.

It was cold too, i loved it! The funny thing was that it felt like it was late at night already but in reality it was still 5pm Japan time. We found out that sunset starts after 4pm in the autumn season.

We skipped lunch so decided to get early dinner instead, where else but in the original Yoshinoya! original as in because it's in Japan where it came from but NOT the original store.

Please note that this is not our photo or either one of our left arms, just borrowed this from virtual tourist.com BUT this was indeed the Yoshinoya where we had our first dinner in Tokyo.

Gyudon set was at Y750 for the big bowl, and ivy got the medium bowl for Y600. I love Gyudon! Our first bite was like heaven! And we were eating fastfood! The meat was soft and tasty, the gohan was sticky and firm and delicious. Like little beads sliding around your mouth. I can't imagine what really expensive Japanese restaurant food would taste like!

See the lack of patrons? As what D said, it was still quite early for dinner but we did catch two guys come in later on, ordered, ate, paid, left...and yet we were still at our seats with half empty (or half full) bowls of gyudon. You should see the way they ate it, parang sininghot lang nila yung buong bowl (it was as if they just inhaled the whole bowl). Amazing.

Maybe it was the lack of sleep the night before, the travel, or maybe it was the weather, but at around 6pm, we decided to get a few donuts from Mister Donut and go up to the room to call it a day.

Freaking huge donuts compared to ours BUT the price difference is noticeable too, double the price of our Mister Donut donuts...hey mister, that's a Mister Donut donut!

A pretty japanese girl handed me this leaflet for KDDI, a telecom company. Guess who's endorsing?

Oh wait, we watched the latest Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl episodes on the P-5000 before we (I) dozed off. I love Stefan! D says he looks like Frankenstein, kulang nalang bolts. Hmmph!
